The Outer Continental Shelf Policy Committee is a committee of the Minerals Management Advisory Board of the Minerals Management Service, U.S. Department of the Interior. The Board was created as the Outer Continental Shelf Advisory Board in 1975 by the Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act (43 U.S.C. 1331, et seq.). Through the Minerals Management Advisory Board, the U.S. Department of the Interior receives comments and recommendations from coastal state officials. The Board also provides a forum for coastal states, federal agencies, and private firms involved in development of the Outer Continental Shelf.

The Policy Committee advises the U.S. Secretary of the Interior on national policy implications of managing federal resources. This includes leasing, exploration, development, and protection of natural and mineral resources of the outer continental shelf. Committee meetings provide a formal mechanism for public interaction. Representatives include senior officials from the offices of the coastal state governors, up to twelve discretionary members from public and private sectors, and six federal members who serve ex officio.
