Today, the Committee still considers legislation relating to judicial administration and court structure. It also is concerned with administrative law; corrections; criminal and civil laws, penalties, immunities, and procedures; drunk and drugged driving and certain motor vehicle offenses; estates and trusts; family law; gambling; juvenile justice; and the legal profession. Twenty-two delegates serve on this committee.
Under the Judiciary Committee are four subcommittees: Civil Law and Procedure; Criminal Justice; Family and Juvenile Law; and Gaming Law and Enforcement.

The Civil Law and Procedure Subcommittee formed in 1995.
In 1995, the Criminal Justice Subcommittee was established.
The Family and Juvenile Law Subcommittee was created in 1995.
The Gaming Law and Enforcement Subcommittee began as the Gaming Law and Regulation Subcommittee in 1995, and adopted its present name in 1999.
